Yes, Virginia, There is Still Santa Claus

Yes, Virginia, There is Still Santa Claus

As the season of giving is upon us, we call to mind the most famous Christmas story of all time. The epic “Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus” editorial, according to Newseum, first appeared in New York’s Sun and answers a child who questions if there is a Santa Claus.

Even as we realize the mythical man does not exist, there is still a Santa Claus among us, one that nobody talks about. Yes, there is still a Santa Claus, the one who lives in our hearts.  This Santa Claus is the spirit of love, kindness, generosity, humility, all the fruits of human compassion that we are born with and strive to retain but as adults sometimes we forget.  He is non-discriminating and knows no boundary, no color, no race, no creed. He comes bringing gifts and never asks what he can take, only what he can give. His mission is to impart goodwill and cheer to all and he is unwavering is his commitment to this task.

On behalf of Guardian Data Destruction, happy holidays to you and your families.
